Home organizing for Kitsilano homes
Kits homes are beautiful and stubborn: 1912 character houses carved into suites, closets built for a different century, and a household's worth of beach and bike gear with nowhere to live. That's our kind of project.

The Kitsilano storage problem
Between Burrard and Alma, most of the housing stock predates the idea that people would own this much. Character houses off West 4th and Broadway have gorgeous fir floors and almost no closets. Many were split into suites decades ago, so storage that once served one family now serves three households, and the basement is a negotiation. Newer condos near Arbutus Greenway trade square footage for location. None of it comes with a garage.
What we build here
Entry systems that swallow wetsuits, paddleboards and volleyball gear coming back from Kits Beach. Bedroom closets rebuilt vertically because the footprint can't grow. Under-stair and crawl-space storage in character houses, sorted and labelled so the off-season actually rotates. Shared-suite solutions where a basement has to serve a landlord upstairs and a tenant down. And kitchens: galley layouts in 100-year-old houses respond beautifully to zoning and containment.
Getting to Kits, and getting donations out
We're Vancouver-based, so Kitsilano sessions are an easy hop over the Burrard Bridge, and we plan around the neighbourhood's permit parking. Donations leave with us the same day whenever possible; there are several donation drop-offs within a ten-minute drive, which means the let-go pile never has to spend a week in your hallway.
Questions we hear
Do you organize basement suites in Kitsilano?
Yes, constantly. Suite living means one closet is doing five jobs, so we zone aggressively, go vertical, and label everything. Most Kitsilano suites are finished in one to two sessions.
Can you handle a whole character house?
Yes. Older Kits houses respond well to a room-by-room plan, and crawl spaces and under-stair storage usually turn out to be the hidden capacity the house was missing.
Where do the donations go?
Whenever possible they leave with us the same day and are routed to a nearby charity drop-off, so the donate pile never lingers.
